In what currency will I be charged?

You’ll always be charged in the currency you see on the checkout page unless you use PayPal. PayPal payments will always be completed in EUR currency. If your account has a different currency, a small currency conversion charge may be applied by PayPal.

What if the payment fails?

If your payment fails, we’ll send you an email to let you know. Your order will be canceled automatically, and it will NOT be possible to reattempt the payment for that order. Instead, we recommend you try placing a new one!

Make sure to double-check if all of your payment details are correct. If the issue persists, we suggest you check with your bank in case there are any extra security steps required to proceed with the transaction.

Helvethics is based in Europe, so customers in other countries will sometimes be required to have pre-authorization from their bank.

What is stopping the checkout procedure?

If your order is not going through, make sure all the required fields in the checkout are filled.

Some ad-blockers might interfere if the selected payment method requires a new window to be opened in order to complete the payment. It’s always a good idea to deactivate the ad-blocker temporarily during checkout.

Where is my order fulfilled?

There are multiple factors that can affect whether an order is printed, fulfilled, and shipped from our USA, Mexico, or our Europe location (including product availability, shipping address, etc). Order routing happens automatically so the branch that’s the best fit will fulfill an order. We don’t guarantee all orders shipping to a specific country will always ship from a specific location.

Why is my shipping label in euros?

For international shipping, we normally print shipping labels in USD. But for orders fulfilled in Europe, we print the value in EUR so it’s easier to go through customs checkpoints and mail sorting centers within Europe.

We use whatever retail price and currency are in our Helvethics store for your packing slips.

How long is shipping for orders within the EU?

For orders shipped from our Europe location to a European destination, shipping can take between 5-10 business days after fulfillment. For orders shipped from our Europe location to non-EU regions, it can be between 10-20 business days.

How quickly are packages delivered?

We print and fulfill all our products on demand once you place an order. To estimate when you get your order, add our fulfillment time to the shipping time. It takes 2–7 business days to create apparel products and 2–5 business days for non-apparel products.

Here are the shipping times for each shipping method we offer:

Overnight: next day delivery in the US
Express: 1-3 business days in the US, Canada, and internationally
Standard: 3-4 business days in the US, 6-10 days in Canada, 5-20 days internationally

How are your products packaged for shipment?

Because of the variety of products we fulfill, we package each item based on dimension requirements to ensure protection during shipment. Generally, posters are shipped in kraft tube boxes with plastic end caps. Canvases are usually shipped in corrugated boxes, ranging in dimensions of 12x18x2 to 28x38x6. Frames are first wrapped in tissue paper to protect them from scratches and are then wrapped in a layer of adhesive bubble wrap. Finally, they are wrapped in a thicker, more durable bubble wrap that will add extra protection during shipment.

Individual shirts are packaged in a see-through polymer bag and then placed in a polymer mailer. Larger quantities are packaged into boxes.

Are the packaging materials recyclable?

The Helvethics poly bags used in our packaging are recyclable, low-density polyethylene, FDA and USDA compliant.

What if the address was wrong?

If the recipient’s address was wrong, then you are held responsible. Usually, the package is sent back to the return address.

If the package was not returned to the sender, then you would have to process a new order to replace the original.

If your package is lost in transit and the shipping address was 100% correct, we’ve got your back! We’ll ship out a new order with tracking, at our expense.

When can I return a product?

Although most companies do not guarantee their products, at Helvethics your satisfaction is our business. We take pride in providing you — our customer — with exactly what you want. You may return your order for a full refund within 15 days of receiving the order. All we ask is that you get in contact with Helvethics’s Support Team before returning your order so that we may accurately process the return.

We do not refund orders for buyer’s remorse, and size exchanges.

How to request a return

Return claims must be filed with the customer service department within 15 business days of receiving your order. All defective material must be returned in order to receive credit or replacements. Please get in contact with our Support Team first.

Where are returns sent?

Packages sent out from our US fulfillment centers are returned to our Charlotte facility. Its address: 11201 Ed Brown Rd, Charlotte, North Carolina, 28273.

Meanwhile, packages sent out from our Europe location are automatically returned to our Europe fulfillment center. Its address: Lidostas parks, Marupes novads, Latvia LV-2167.

What should I know about designs and copyrights?

Helvethics wants to make sure that all buying and selling transactions of designs through this portal are legal. We ensure that the intellectual property rights of our designers are completely protected when they provide the designs to this website.

We understand the importance of copyright for our designers working through this site. These guidelines are in place to protect the designer’s legal rights over their works.

What should I know about ink colors?

Please note that due to varying monitor settings, the colors represented on the online art approval may not match the actual ink or thread colors screen-printed or embroidered on your garments. Helvethics is not responsible for variations between your monitor and the actual ink or thread colors.

What should I know about all-over printing?

All-over printing or sublimation is a printing process where your design is printed on paper with dye ink and then transferred directly onto the fabric with heat. Sublimation lets you cover all of the garment with your design instead of, for example, DTG printing that has a smaller area to work with.

Helvethics carries two types of products that are printed using sublimation:

Sublimated products. These products are pre-made, so your designs are transferred to a ready-made product. Sublimated products, might show white streaks and creasing that are most common near stitching (for example, the sides of a towel).
All-over print products (also referred to as cut & sew products). In this case, our designs are printed on fabric, which then gets cut and hand-sewn into the product you ordered. These products don’t have white streaks.

Why does my shirt have a vinegar smell?

When unpacking a new shirt or hoodie with a direct-to-garment (DTG) print, you might notice a vinegar-like smell or an off-white residue. Don’t worry, that’s not unusual – it’s from a fixation agent applied during the printing process and it’s not permanent.

A fixation agent (sometimes known as pre-treatment) is used for all DTG prints across the industry. It helps the ink bond with the fabric, and without it, the ink would flake off the garment.

The solution is simply to wash the garment! Neither the residue nor the smell is permanent and both should go away after one wash. If the discoloration is noticeable, the quality control team will include a card explaining that it’s from the fixation agent.

Can I order samples without a design?

Unfortunately not. We cannot sell products without a printed design due to agreements with our suppliers. For blank t-shirts, you would have to go directly to our suppliers. You could also Google the specific product name to find other retailers selling blanks online.

Sure! Just get in contact with our Support Team to get informed about the possibilities.

Where do you print your products?

We print our products with care at fulfillment centers in LA, Charlotte, Mexico, and Riga. The Europe fulfillment centers are in Barcelona, Spain, and two in Riga, Latvia. Everyone at our printers enjoys paid time off, healthcare benefits, and a safe and friendly work environment.

Each facility has implemented corporate social responsibility initiatives, like LED lighting and recycling programs for paper, plastic, and glass. All ink waste is disposed of to meet environmental regulations. We also donate damaged products to charitable organizations.

Do you have an ethical production proces?

We make sure to work with third-party manufacturers that are dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane, and ethical manufacturing around the world.

Our manufacturers hold current Social Compliance Certifications such as W.R.A.P. and commit to the Fair Labor Associations Guiding Principles. All of which ensure safe working conditions, conscientious treatment of workers, and focus on minimizing environmental impact.
